Program Specific Competency Goals 
- Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant

Upon completion of the Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant, graduates will:

  • Work within the legal guidelines and professional standards for the physical therapist assistant in the delivery of high-quality health care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.  (CC.05 Professionalism)**
  • Implement treatment plans and physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. (CC.03 技术)**
  • Show sensitivity to cultural, 少数民族, gender and lifestyle differences. (CC.04 多样性)**
  • Possess the ability to effectively translate theory into practice to meet the demands of a dynamic health care system. (CC.02 Critical Thinking)**
  • Contribute to the advancement of the profession by participating in research, 教学, continuing 教育 and serving on professional organizations. (CC.05 Professionalism)**
  • Always exhibit good moral and ethical judgment in health care practice and uphold confidentiality of all persons. (CC.01 Communication)**

  • Assume leadership roles in the advancement of the profession by participating one or more of the following areas: research, 教育, continuing 教育 and service of a professional organization.  (Professionalism)**
  • Exhibit good ethical judgment in health care practice and demonstrate effective communication with all individuals. (Communication)**
